When you talk about Tanzanian culture in general it has a wide span of values and norms due to a large number of tribes. Tanzania has more than 120 tribes all with their own cultures and way of life.

All of these tribes have their own spoken mother tongues but are united through the Swahili language that’s why in all regions of Tanzania you will find a mixture of different tribes living together in the community.

Tanzania is the only African nation representing all the 4 major ethnolinguistic tribes (Bantu, Kushitic, Nilotic and Khoisan). No matter how globalized the world threatens the lifestyle, the Hadzabe and Maasai still practice their customs.

The Hadzabe live around Lake Eyasi while the proud fierce warriors the Maasai from the famous Ngorongoro crater highlands are perfect tribes to visit.
