Day 1: Kilimanjaro National Park

You will be picked up at your hotel in Moshi/Arusha around 7am and transferred to the Londrossi Gate on the western slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro. This will be one of our most challenging itineraries as you cycle to the helipad on the Shira Plateau of Mt. Kilimanjaro at 3750 meters above sea level. First, you will cycle through the forest zone followed by the heather and moorland zone as you head towards the helipad on the Shira Plateau. You will then turn back and enjoy a downhill ride back to Simba Farm. Once back at the gate you will be transferred back to your hotel in Moshi/Arusha.

 Verified Unforgettable trip (in a good way) I joined an Ahsante group climbing the Kilimanjaro Machame route. Ascending isn’t easy, but the Ahsante team worked hard to maximise the chances of a successful ascent. Out of our group, nearly all managed to get to the top (something that isn’t usual). The guides were superb - supportive, very experienced and very friendly. Our team contained a medical doctor who was very reassuring and who was conducting research on the effects of altitude on the body. The Ahsante team are very welcoming, experienced and knowledgeable. The friendliness of the group, the stunning scenery and the Ahsante team made this an unforgettable trip.
