The accident occurred yesterday, 24 December 2025, around 18:00 local time, when an Airbus AS350 B3 operated by KilimedAir (Savannah Aviation Limited) crashed on Mount Kilimanjaro, authorities say.
Witnesses at the helipad reported that the helicopter fell a few minutes after taking off from Barafu Camp. TANAPA has confirmed the accident and said emergency teams were dispatched to the scene.
Unfortunately, there were no survivors. The victims are reported to include the pilot, a paramedic, two clients and one mountain guide. There were no clients of Ahsante Tours on this flight. We are awaiting the official report after a proper investigation.
